Do you travel for weddings?
Yes I do. I live in Kent and will travel within 20 mile radius from my location. I’m willing to travel further than that at additional costs that will cover me straying over somewhere the night before. I don’t want to travel too far on the day - I want to be as fresh as possible for your big day!

Do you shoot digital or film?
Digital all the way. I shoot everything in colour and then I’ll change some into B/W or Sepia afterwards.

What equipment do you use?
I use Nikon equipment.

How do I make a booking?

Check if I’m available on your date by sending me an email.

I will then reply and we take it from there :)

How many photographers will be taking photos?

I will be the only official photographer at the wedding. I don’t have any assistants working with me.

What is the most important thing on the wedding day for you as a photographer?
Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life and it’s going to go by even faster than you think! Therefore, it is vital that you feel comfortable with me, as your photographer. I would like you to relax and enjoy every moment! And know that I’ll be capturing your day for you to remember forever! I have a very natural approach and I don’t like to be in the lime light. It’s your day and I want you to feel very special :)

How much time do you need for photos?
For the best results I’ll need the following:

Decor shots: 30 min
Bride before the ceremony: 1 hour
Ceremony: 30 min – 1 hour
Family & Group shots: 30 min – 40 min (this all depend on the size of the wedding)
Couple photos: 1 hour +
Reception: all depends on the package you choose…

Do you do ‘guests at table’ shots?
No unfortunately I don’t do table photos of the guests. I don’t like interrupting people as they are eating and a table full of glasses and plates with half eaten food do not result into the best shots :) I will however be capturing individual people as they listen to speeches, laugh and enjoy the evening. If you do want big group shots, I suggest you dedicate a
special corner or space to those photos. Get a nice couch or something interesting and then I will take a few group shots there during the evening. Photobooths with props are very popular and this is something that can be arranged at an extra cost.

Do we need to feed you at the reception?
It would be really lovely if you did. It doesn't have to be the same as your sit-down meal (many caterers offer "vendor meals" as an add-on option) but feeding me ensures I stay cheerful, mobile, and that I don’t faint from starvation. I prefer to be fed when YOU are fed, not afterwards, because when you are eating you're not at your most photogenic. And when you're done, I want to be done as well to continue your coverage.

Will you give us direction on what to do during the photo shoot?

Yes, I believe that every photographer must give some direction during the photo session. Couples are very stressed during that day and can’t think of poses as well. The photographer is the professional and he knows what will look the best. He must also be able to capture those intimate moments that no one can pose. Please remember that it will be an advantage if there is a beautiful location for your couple photos :)

Can our family and friends take pictures with their cameras? Will that bother you?
Of course they can and it doesn't bother me in the least bit! But I do request they not swarm the family photographs right away because I’d prefer all eyes facing me in your images, but I don’t mind at all if they snap away from the background.
I do not allow family or friends to come along for the bridal images or the images of you two alone for privacy purposes and because, frankly, other people can be distracting! I welcome other cameras during dancing, cake cutting, and other events just asks politely if people could please not push me out of the way and respect my presence.

Do you use lighting equipment?
I love working with natural light, however where necessary I do use flash. Flash is not allowed in most churches or register offices. I love using flash for creative couple portraits.

Just a little tip: one of the best things you can do for great reception shots is to create enough light in the reception area. Candles are not enough.

Do you only shoot weddings?
No! I also do family, engagement, portraits and lifestyle shoots.

I have to cancel my wedding. Can I have my retainer back?
No you cannot. The retainer fee and all monies paid are non-refundable. The retainer guarantees that we will hold the date exclusively for you and once you've signed the contract I do turn down all other commissions for that date.
